House Bill 75 and Senate Joint Resolution 5 are in the works to appear on New Mexico’s November ballot. Passage of the said proposal would permit adults 21 and older to legally buy, possess and consume marijuana within the state’s limit.

GreenWay NM New Mexico May See More of Green on the November BallotPeople of New Mexico have been more than ready and accepting of marijuana reform in the state after learning that the revenue from the sales would be allotted to health-related programs. Approximately 69% of residents have voted to support the measure. The statistics were posted by NORML on a recently conducted survey.

If the bills are adopted as laws, it would also open opportunities for legalized retail dispensaries. However, more efforts have to be exerted for laws legalizing recreational marijuana to be passed.
